While cleaning out my craft closet I found an endless supply of broken crayons. Instead of tossing them, I elected my 5 yr old to strip the paper and select an assortment of design for new potential crayons. This activity took her almost 3 hours and she smiled the ENTIRE time. She's so easily entertained. If only my 2 yr old was the same way...

My friend did this with a miniature heart muffin tin, and put the crayon hearts in the middle of a Valentine with the message "Have a Colorful Valentine's Day" and gave them from her boy to the kids at Preschool.
