What did you give up for Lent?

I gave up my two favorite vices...

Pancake Day

Josh's grandpa passed away on Sunday at the age of 81...thus we left Monday traveling West to Liberal for his funeral. Tuesday just happened to be the BIGGEST event of the YEAR in this grand-o town - the International Pancake Race. Sidenote, Josh's aunt is in the Guinness Book of World Records for her time in this event back in 1975.
I don't think I've ever enjoyed watching a race as much as I enjoyed this one. So many complexities - holding a skillet WITH a pancake, wearing an apron, a bandanna on your head all while sprinting to the finish line. Hilarious.
Anyway, Liberal won the event setting a new World record and superseding his aunts. Who knew pancake races even existed?!?!

birthday bash

Josh had a business dinner on Friday night at Harrah's Casino in KC. It was a divine way to spend his birthday - food, friends, entertainment, drinks and gambling. Unfortunately, we didn't start gambling until AFTER midnight therefore leaving all the luck behind. We still had a fantastic time and it was nice to get away for the night.

Happy Birthday Hubby

There is a hand I love to hold, A face I love to see,

There is a voice I love to hear that means the world to me.

There is a heart the understands what I'm dreaming of...

And all of these belong to you - the wonderful man I love.

You are the one I love and the one I'm always thinking of.

You alone will always be the one who means the world to me.

Happy Birthday Babe!

A visit with heaven

I scheduled myself a full body massage this morning (Josh bought it for me for Mother's Day - MAY 2008). Prior to my arrival, my gf prefaced the experience by saying that the masseuse was amazing - setting very high standards for my massage. She lived up to all expectations and then some. Relaxing. Peaceful. Tranquil. Soothing. A little slice of Heaven. I'll be going back VERY soon.

Tell me, what do you really do at Preschool

a little long and random but cute.

think pink

My parents bought the girls pink Willie T's for valentine's day so they could wear them to the K-State girls game - raising money for breast cancer awareness. We had a great time although our favorite friend and player was out because of illness. Get Well Soon Shalee!

Valentine Surprise

My Hubby surprised me with the most beautiful and original bouquet of flowers on my dining room table for Valentines Day. What more could one ask for?

smarties

I wonder when the day will come that a smarties bribe will no longer matter...
