What do you want to be when you grow up?

You'll find this a reoccurring theme this week as Saylor Lillie will be dressing up on Thursday for school with the same posed question. Today we toured the Vet School - what an adventure. Surgery on a dogs eye, cleaning a cats teeth, an abscessed tooth on a horse...can't imagine the life of a Vet, yet that's what my LillieBean wants to be.

I love McDonalds

I had it for lunch today. I had it for lunch yesterday. I had it for lunch on Thursday. That's my weekly ritual, so what more appropriate than to be Ronald for halloween. The only problem, finding a Ronald costume. Thus, I got crafty...

One Large White Sag t-shirt - $3
One pair of white carpi's - Clearance $3
Yellow dye - $2
Red zipper - $1
One pair of white gloves - $1
Red ribbon - $.43
McDonald's material - $10 (splurge here)
kid tights - $6
Red wig - $8
Face Paint - $1
Red Clown shoes - $6 (and let's face it, the shoes made the outfit)

One night as Ronald McDonald - PRICELESS!!!!!

Egg's for Breakfast

Saylor Loves eggs and about the only thing she loves more than eggs is preparing them with her dad. Josh, Say and Sophia consumed 7 eggs yesterday for breakfast...really, and he's worried about my cholesterol from overdosing on McDonald's.

pickin' pumpkins - and more

Saylor was bursting with eagerness and anticipation for her first preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. I felt very blessed to attend and watch all the eager 3 yr olds search for the perfect pumpkin. Saylor also celebrated the ladybug that landed on her hand as well as the flowers.

potty time

At the time, I was not aware that Saylor Lillie was very ahead in the potty game. My mom mentioned to me following her 18 month appt. that that was the age I had potty trained. So, one day, around 19 months, I sat her up on the porcelain and potty she went. Really, it was that easy. She wore pull-ups for about a month with only one or two accidents so off to panties we went. Now, fast forward 26 months later...Sophia is now 19 months and neither of us are ready! She's not as vocal as her sister and I'm not prepared. I can recall one downfall of an early potty trainer - I had to get her out of bed immediately so we remained accident free. Anyway, Sunday afternoon Saylor took a potty break and Sophia threw a fit because she wanted a turn. With my "what the heck" attitude, I put her on the potty and POTTY she went. I could not believe it - and honestly, I think she was just as surprised. :) She took my hand again today and went potty again. She's so funny. My little miss independent.

to hot in the hot tub

My brother bought a hot tub for his upcoming birthday - must be something of a midlife crisis since he's old enough to be mid-life-ish. (Hee Hee). The kids are going to have so much fun splishing and a splashing. We can't wait to test it out!

family pic

I did a photo swap with my girlfriend last night. She took our family pic and I took one of hers. Fun times. :)

fever free

Saylor Lillie started running a fever on Monday afternoon - really no signs of sickness other than the fever. She peaked at 104.7 on Monday night. She was a sweet girl just minus the energy. I'm happy to report that she has now been fever free for 23 hours. I can handle this past sickness but I'm NOT prepared for the upcoming flu season!

pony rides

Following the delight of every child's face from this weekend's b-day party, I'm thinking someone needs to pony up (pun intended) and buy a pony! It's easy to Say (again, pun intended) that Keely will not be one to volunteersince dear old Spirit stepped on her foot and turned her LONG toes into a Vienna sausage. Really, where is the blog on that K?

Let's Play Photo Hunt

Honestly, the game of Photo Hunt consumed countless hours of my life throughout college. This picture reminded me of that challenge although unlike photo hunt, this is only one picture. But, take a few moments. First, we had just attended a parade that lasted a record of 3 minutes (in an election year, can you believe it?!?!) Second, notice the random, nonhelium balloons that were distributed as favors - whatever happened to handfuls of candy? Which, leads me to #3 - the lack of candy. I pimped out this parade as one of THE BEST candy tossing gigs around and notice how the green bag is EMPTY. Finally, do you see the size of the person standing behind me? Her blackberry is almost the size of her entire thigh. Is that NORMAL???

Something is Different

Goodbye mullet. Hello little man. I cut my babe's hair last week (somethings going wildly wrong with my external hard-drive that's interrupting my personal photos - thus the delay). Anyway, I guess she still looks the same from the front. :)
