not at all what I expected

It's official, canceled race and all, I conquered the 26.2. The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon was cut short for the first time in its history Sunday as hundreds of runners laboring across ovenlike streets were treated for heat-related illness. Although it was not pretty nor quick, I completed the race.
