My twin nephews and 3 yr old niece stayed with us this past week. Saylor was is HEAVEN with her extra long playdate and Sophia was entertained and fascinated with all the activity. Five kids was splendid for a week, although I was a tad more tuckered at night.

Happy Birthday Grandma

My grandma celebrated her 80th birthday last week with a giant family picnic in her backyard. This was a feeble attempt to capture the youngest great grandkids (5 under 1).

and then another attempt for the older great grandkids - too many to count.

She is an amazing women and has always been an inspiration to me. Happy Birthday Grandma!

A weekend in KC -day one

My hubby headed north for a week of fishing so we headed east for a girls weekend trip to KC. So we mall walked, Built a bear and zebra.

and rode the carousal - twice!

enjoyed a picnic in the park with some uninvited friends...

and expended any remaining energy on the playground.

Last day of School

Last day... and here's a link to a pic from the first day. Her hairs a little shorter and her legs a little longer. She had a wonderful first year of preschool - Saylor's going to miss the teachers and her friends, and I'm going to miss the schedule.

So Long Soccer

Saylor Lillie's final game of the session was Wednesday night - and my, my did she turn it on. She was aggressive, energetic, competitive, maybe even a little feisty. All season she was more concerned with the dandelions then the soccer ball. Regardless, she enjoyed the season and it was pure entertainment on our part.

This was Sis attacking the goal for her FIRST goal of the season.

cinco de mayo

we celebrated cinco de mayo this year the RIGHT way - beads, margarita's and steaming hot fajitas! We've started a new tradition although next year its sans the kids.

Happy May Day

or happy belated May Day as it seems. The girls had a blast delivering the baskets until the VERY last house when Saylor did a forward roll over the cement from running so fast.

Day one and two in Hawaii

We flew into to Oahu for a few days of site seeing. We stayed on Waikiki Beach and enjoyed the culture/surfer view that it provided. Night one we dined oceanside at Dukes.
Day 2 we hiked to the peak of Diamond Head.

Saylor Lillie's first year of dancing has sadly come to an end. She preformed this afternoon...my stomach mimicked her costume - it was full of butterflies! little sister was just as proud...she HAD to be in every picture.
