Slam Dunk Contest

I'm not sure what was more shocking to me about today's special treat...was it Saylor Lillie being asked at the Basketball game to preform during the halftime slam dunk contest or her ACTUALLY particiaparting in the halftime slam dunk contest in front of thousands of fans- with a made dunk to boot!

Each child was asked their age prior to the contest. It went like this, "6, 6, 5, 4, 4 & 2." Although, she's only days away from being three, our little 2 year old stood up to the rest. Anyway, what a PROUD, PROUD moment for our family.

I think this child is going to be let down in the future at games. Courtside one week, slam dunk contest the next, I'm not sure how to top this...

Bowl-a-rama

Who knew I was SO horrible at bowling, and Josh is not much better. :) Saylor Lillie LOVED the experience and she ROCKED the alley with her rollercoaster bowler. It's the first time she was able to fit into the actual shoes...that was exciting for her.

Alana "striking" the bowling pose.
Saylor who kiss the ball EVERYTIME before she gave it a farewell push. It went, "kiss, kiss, kiss, good luck little ball."

Robbie showing how many pins he knocked down. Striker!

Storytime with Santa

We had a WONDERFUL time at the library on Wednesday for storytime. It was a memorable moment when Saylor Lillie hopped up on Santa's lap. I asked Saylor to tell Santa what she wants for Christmas, with crowd of eager youngen's surrounding the jolly old man, she rolls her eyes, throws her hands in the air and with a huge sigh, she says, "Mooooooommmmmm, I already TOLD santa what I want. I talked to him at the mall and he already knows." So much for this double dipping. Kelly and Jude, looking serious.
Sophia and Jude talking giggles.

Art Class at Beach

Saylor Lillie's first color chart at Art class. She learned about Primary and Secondary colors and what happens when you overlap...

How about I hold Sophia 97% of the time. The 3% Josh had her made the big screen and tv.

a little prayer

for my friend who still has no heat...

Old Man Winter

was not very kind...we were without electricity for over 48 hours but it could have been worse. Who knew how much we take for granted. Heat is my new best friend.

9 months old

snow kissed cheeks

Saylor was freezing following her and daddy's sledding escapades. Her cheeks say it all!

Art Class

Saylor really enjoyed creating her art project on Wednesday. I was impressed with her art wheel and the talent she seized with staying individual color areas (keeping within the lines something we've yet to accomplish).

Audrey and Ava

Sophia faniced the water in her sippy cup. The final phase and the finished project - a stained glass bell for the window.

Decorating the Tree

Dear Santa

Say and Sophia had a little talk this week with the real deal...Mr. Claus (Sophia was not a fan).

Saylor's list includes:

A lighting McQueen Doodle
Smart Cycle
Care Bear
Mac the Truck
Sophia has yet to request so her sister filled Santa in with:
Fisher Price Animal Train
A baby
Saylor also asked Santa to bring Piper a bone but just a little one. AND, she forgot to request anything for Josh or myself. Whoops!

sickies

The flu bug somehow found it's way into our house. Thankfully, both girls are feeling better and it only lasted 2 days. Honestly, a sick child is the worse thing to experience as a parent. You feel SO helpless.

So happy that ABC was airing Charlie Brown's Christmas - it gave daddy and the girls something to watch.
